Learn the value of conservation – Are you a hunter, hiker, fisherman, skier, business owner? Do you drink water? …………………………………………………….. Then conservation issues affect you!

As an individual, you can become a supporter of the CVCS.  Add your voice to those working toward protection and restoration of the Comox Valley’s sensitive ecosystems and biodiversity and keep informed of our activities.

Each year, with the help of local photograhpers, we produce a unique Conservation Calendar; which pairs beautiful local photographs with information about our Member groups and local areas.

Cost is $15, please contact us to arrange purchase or to find a local distributor.



Make a Donation

HurfordParkThe CVCS gratefully accepts financial donations.  Large or small, it all go towards important conservation work. All donations over ten dollars will receive an official receipt for income tax purposes.

Also you may bequest land or money as a living legacy or as a bequest with estate planning through the Comox Valley Land Trust.  Through the CVLT, you can also donate to specific acquisitions with their Land Acquisition Opportunity Fund – which accumulates principal and will only be used to assist or promote lands for protection.




Join other like-minded individuals by volunteering with the CVCS or with one of our Partner Organizations. Current volunteer opportunities include:

  • Education and Outreach – volunteers are needed to help at presentations, special events and booths.
  • Writing / Photography / Website – The CVCS is always looking for great photos, good writers and website workers who can promote our cause.
  • Stewardship Work – would you like to get your hands dirty? Volunteers are needed by all of our Partner Organizations to do stream restoration and salmon enhancement work, as well as other outdoor or indoor activities.

Partner Groups Meeting

Partner organizations formally endorse the CVCS-CP and actively participate in implementation by designating a representative to sit on the Steering Committee or on one of its implementation teams, and/or actively participate by assuming responsibility for a project and periodically reporting on the status of the project to the Steering Committee.


JOIN as a Supporter Organization

Supporter organizations have the opportunity to support the CVCS-CP with Supporter Organization - CCFSminimal involvement. Supporter Organizations formally endorse the Comox Valley Conservation Strategy and agree to keep their membership informed about the status of the CVCS and encourage members to participate in periodic meetings or consultation activities.
