Streamkeeper and Stewardship Group Resource Team

There are dozens of local stewardship, stream keeper and environmental groups working to protect and restore lands and waters of the Comox Valley year round. They all have two things in common: a deep commitment to conservation and a need for more resources to support them in their work.

The steering committee of the Comox Valley Conservation Strategy Community Partnership (CVCSCP) invited members of these groups to an inaugural meeting on Saturday, November 28, 2009 for the purpose of examining the needs of local groups and identifying ways of increasing the resources available to them.

From this meeting, the Streamkeeper and Stewardship Group Resource Team was born. The group met again on Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 to identify goals and to formulate an action plan.
